| I
was in Southern Illinois helping a friend with the estate sale of the
family farm. There were two barns full of antiques on flatbed trailers
that we had set up for the auction. There was an entire pig roasted to
make shredded pork sandwiches for the hungry throngs. There was
glassware, carnival glass, arrowheads, telephone line insulators,
pot-belly stoves, silver tea sets, farm machines, china, toys, clothes,
Indian head coins…the collection of a family's lifetime. I took a walk
to get away from the mayhem and found pussy had a great idea: ignore it
all and take a Cat Nap!! |
